Photo Clip Instructions

(These instructions were created when I taught this project for Stamp Out Poverty. They do not go with the ETSY download perfectly, but will be a lot of help and have lots of photos!)

The Bunny!
(Cat's Meow and Birdie toward bottom of this post.)

Supplies:
Clipart Sheet (contact Deanna at bbaranowsky@cox.net for info)

2” binder clip
Flattened Bottle Cap
Ribbon – approx 12 “
2” X 3 1/4” piece of paper or card stock to wrap around bottom of clip.
Piece of coordinating paper to mat saying.
2 ½ “ Circle of pink Paper
(I used Spellbinders scallop dies to cut the circle in the sample picture. You could use any sizes or colors that suite you or you could cut the circle by hand.
2” X 3 ¼” paper to wrap bottom of binder clip with.
½ inch pom pom for tail

Use a 1” punch to punch out the bunny face.

Color the ears and the face. (I just colored the outside rim of the ears and the nose on the face. I got GREAT results with a pink Hi-Liter! Any marker would work.) Smudge a bit of pink on the cheeks for blush (I used a q-tip) and then lightly sponge some pink ink over the face, ears, and saying to turn them a bit pink. (Of course - if you want a blue bunny...use BLUE!) Cut out the ears and the saying.

Mat Saying

Glue the bunny face inside the bottle cap.

Glue the bunny ears to the back of the bottlecap.

If desired, emboss the circle and the paper. I used my Cuttlebug and embossed the circle and the pink cardstock with the Swiss Dots embossing folder.

Sponge Circle with pink ink.

These are all of the parts that you should have now.
Some of them are already somewhat assembled.

Glue the 2” X 3 ¼” piece of paper around the bottom part of the binder clip.

Glue the bottle cap bunny on top of the circle.

I attached the finished bunny to the binder clip with a double thickness of foam tape. See picture for placement.

Tie ribbon to the top of the binder clip around the outside of both pieces of the metal part of the clip. This makes the clip hold together tight enough to hold your photo nicely.

Add the saying.

Don't forget to give your bunny it's tail!!! Glue the pom pom to the back side of the photo clip.
(This also shows the back side of the clip and how the ribbon is tied completely around it.)

The Cat's Meow and the Birdie
Supplies:
Clipart Sheet (contact Deanna at bbaranowsky@cox.net for info)

2” binder clip
Flattened Bottle Cap
Ribbon – approx 12 “
2 ½ “ Circle of black paper
2 3/4" Circle of white paper
(I used Spellbinders scallop dies to cut the circles in the sample pictures. You could use any sizes or colors that suite you or you could cut the circles by hand.)

There are just a few differences when making the Cat and the Birdie binder clip.

1. The clip art page provides the decorated paper to wrap around the binder clip.
2. The saying does not need to be matted. The "mat" is printed as part of the saying on the clip art sheet.
3. There are 2 circles behind the bottle cap - and of course...no ears to glue on. :)
4. I embossed the Cat circles with the Cuttlebug Tiny Mosaic folder and the Birdie circle with the Cuttlebug Swirls folder.
